6 Steps For Perfectly Brewed Green Tea
There’s no denying that adding a cup of green tea to your daily routine is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself, but if we had to guess one reason why you haven’t already, we’d say it’s because you don’t want your tea to be bitter!
We get it – brewing green tea can often seem more complicated than it really is. We put together a foolproof guide to help you brew the perfect cup of tea each time, in only six steps.
Step 1
Heat the water to just about boiling point. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat off and let it cool a bit.
Step 2
Add your tea bags to your pot or cup. If using a pot, add one tea bag for every cup you plan to make. Make sure to keep your tea bags away from strong smells.
Step 3
Pour the water directly onto the tea bags.
Step 4
Stir the tea once, and then let it steep for 1.5-2 minutes. Stir again halfway through.
Step 5
Remove the tea bags.
Step 6
Your tea is now ready to drink! Brewing it correctly means that it won’t be bitter, but if you’d like a sweeter taste, add a teaspoon of honey or sugar and stir well before drinking.
